funny how when you’re blind,
you are also deaf.
these eyelids refuse to stay open,
so if i cannot stay awake,
i will find you in my dreams.
salvation is not given by mind,
strength,
or even love.
salvation is given only through blood.
patience is a virtue only found in the evening.
nothing else survived the heat of the day.
if only my eyes would stay open,
i just might hear the stars.
God of heaven,
fields,
